Eiffel Tower, France
The Eiffel Tower, Paris, is one of the World's most recognisable landmarks. It was built in 1889 for the International Exhibition of Paris, designed by Gustave Eiffel, but was not designed as a permanent structure and was almost dismantled in 1909 but fortunately was saved because of use of the antenna for communications.
The tower now has two restaurants - Altitude 95 & the acclaimed Jules Verne at 125m. Spectacular views of Paris are had at any time but around sunset is the best.
